Day 411 – August 6th 2023

We are up at 7:30 this morning and off the dock around 8:00. It is an easy cruise in wide open water. We officially cross back into the USA around 11:00 am. We are back!!! Canada was fun but I’m glad to be back in the USA!!!! We are in DeTour Village, Michigan. Richard made steak, corn, and sweet potato for dinner.

Day 412 – August 7th 2023

Today there is not a lot happening. Some friends are arriving this afternoon and this will mark the end of their journey!!! They will officially cross their wake!!!

Around 2:00 a few of us gathered on the dock as they arrived and cheered for them as they reached this milestone!!!! It was exciting and they were very happy. The boat was Leave It To Wally — Devin and Dolly.

We later went to dinner with them and a few others Karma and Shenanigans. It was a fun night. After dinner Richard and I left and walked back to the boat. We left the others who were still drinking at the restaurant.

Day 413 – August 8th 2023

We are up early today and ready to leave the dock at 8:00 am. We are cruising in wide open water today as we have to cross Lake Huron. Today we are going to Cheboygan, Michigan. This is a side trip because it is time to find a Walgreens and refill our prescriptions. Ain’t life grand!

We arrived at 12:30 pm. We got fuel and a pump out when we arrived. Richard cooked hamburgers and corn on the cob for dinner. He did our laundry. Later, we watched the Astros and went to bed.

Day 414 – August 9th 2023

There is not much happening today. We are sitting here waiting because our reservation at Mackinac Island doesn’t start until tomorrow. So today we wait!!! Richard went to Walgreens and the grocery store on his bicycle. We had chicken wings for dinner. Astros and bed!!!
