Day 406 – August 1st 2023

Wow!!! The first day of August!!!! Where has the time gone??? This morning we are up at 7:30 am. We are going from Byng Inlet to Sportsman’s Inn in Killarney. We are crossing a large portion of the Georgian Bay. No weaving in and out today we are in wide open water!!! Today was an easy trip in open water.

We arrived and had to dock across the water from the marina. They have a shuttle service with a pontoon boat that will come and pick you up. There are a lot of other boats over here with us. They are parked 2 deep in the slips. We cooked hamburgers for an early dinner. And soon off to bed.

Day 407 – August 2nd 2023

Today is a lazy relaxing day!!! Not much going on. We watched the boats on the water. They have 2 Adirondack chairs on the end of the dock and we sat in those for a while. For dinner we took the dingy to a restaurant down the water a ways. It is a steak restaurant named the Ranch. Richard had steak and I had fish. We dingied back to the boat and went to bed.

Enjoying a fun date night at The Ranch.

Day 408 – August 3rd 2023

Another lazy day today. We watched golf on tv because it is a rainy day. We have had thunderstorms off and on all day. For dinner Richard cooked Greek chicken and it was delicious!!!! We watched the Astros on tv. Of to bed.

Day 409 – August 4th 2023

This morning we are up at 7:00 getting ready to leave the dock. We pull away and head off. We are in fairly open water all day. We had to wait about 15-20 minutes for a bridge to open. There were about 5 boats waiting. We are cruising along past islands that look uninhabited.

We finally arrive at Gore Bay. We get tied up at the dock and Richard takes Charlie out for a walk. For dinner Richard cooked bratwurst on the grill. After watching the Astros we went to bed.

This morning we are up and ready to leave Gore Bay. We head out and are cruising in big open water. A fairly easy ride as the water is very smooth. We arrive in Meldrum Bay at 1:30 pm. There is nothing here!!!! We are tied to a boat dock and there are no other boats here !!!! Just us!!! Cooked some dinner and off to bed.

A beautiful day on the Bay!
