Day 478 – November 17th 2023

Today we are traveling 70 miles and going thru 3 locks. There are some interesting sites along this stretch.

We stopped for the night at Tombigbee Oxbow anchorage. We had leftover party chicken for dinner. Off to bed early!!!

Day 479 – November 18th 2023

Today we are going to Demopolis, AL about 50 miles away. This is a fun cruise, a lot of nature and scenery. We saw four bald eagles in one section of the river. We tried to get pictures but they were too fast!

We also passed through the White Cliffs of Epps. A chalk formation deposited at the same time as the White Cliffs of Dover. So beautiful!

We’ll be in Demopolis for two nights to rest and recharge for the final run to the ICW. We stayed at Kingfisher Bay marina. We got fuel and pumped out the holding tank. We cooked on the boat tonight.

Day 480 – November 19th 2023

We are still at Kingfisher Bay marina. Richard washed the boat and watched football. He also went to the grocery store with the marinas courtesy car. He cooked ribs for dinner tonight.
