Day 441 – October 11th 2023

Today we go from Ottawa to East Piorria Illinois. Our flotilla group has shrunk a little. Today we only have 11 boats. We left at 6:30AM AGAIN!

It’s pretty cold for a Georgia Girl!

Today we only had one lock—Starved Rock Lock—to go thru. There was pretty thick fog on the river for the first few miles so we went very slow until it burned off about 45 minutes later.

The river here is very wide and pretty. We are starting to see some barge traffic as we get further south.

After another really long day, we got all tied up at the dock at the Illinois Valley Yacht Club (aka The Ivy Club) about 4:00 pm. We went up to the restaurant here at the marina and had an excellent meal with Kathy and Lance on Grace. We made it back to the boat and around 8:00pm I was headed to bed!!! I was a tired puppy!!!
