Today we travel to St. Michaels MD after a fun stay at Solomans Island Yacht Club. We’ll travel about 50 miles, crossing from the western shore of the Chesapeake once again to the eastern shore. We’re expecting good weather and calm seas.
The day turned out to be overcast and cooler. But we enjoyed our ride across the bay. GloriaUs is running well and seemed to enjoy her exercise!
St. Michaels is a stop we have been looking forward to since we entered the bay. Everyone whose path we crossed on the bay told us that this was one of their favorite stops. There was a famous battle here during the revolutionary war. So the town has a lot of history in it.
