Day 263 – June 16th 2022

We left this morning around 9:30. Not so early!!! We have a fairly short ride of about 4 hours today to Melbourne FL. The water is perfect and hardly any boats out here!!! We made it with no troubles to Eau Gallic Yacht Basin. It’s a rustic little marina but we like staying there because it’s in a beautiful little cove. We got there in time for Richard to do a boat wash. We had a dinner of pork chops and veggies. Off to bed!!!!

Day 264 – June 17th 2022

We left early this morning at 7:00am!!! We are going to New Smyrna Beach. We had a nice surprise near Cape Canaveral during our trip. We heard a strange loud roar overhead and it turned out to be the SpaceX rocket launch. We couldn’t see the rocket but did get pictures of the contrail. We docked in at 3:30. Kinda of a long day!!! We had sausage for dinner. And I was soon off to bed!!! Another awesome day on the water!!!!

Day 265 – June 18th 2022

We slept in a little this morning and didn’t leave until 9:00am. We are headed to Palm Coast to Hammock Beach Resort. We will stay here for 2 nights. My husband needs his golf fix!!!! We arrived safely around 2:00pm.

Happy Father’s Day!

I got to sleep in this morning!!!! Yeah for me!!!! Richard left early to play golf. Charlie and I snuggled in the bed!!! That afternoon we went to the pool. The pool here is beautiful!!! We went to dinner at Delfino”s. The food was delicious!!!!

Richard enjoying the Ocean Course at Hammock beach!

Day 267 – June 20th 2022

This morning we slept in a little because today is a short day. We left Palm Coast around 11:15 and headed to St. Augustine. We got to our marina, Rivers Edge around 3:00 pm. It’s another rustic stop, but the folks are always friendly. We met a nice couple from Longview TX on the stop. We fly the Texas State flag and it always draws in other Texans on the water. For dinner we went to a restaurant at the marina. Another great day!!!

Rivers Edge Marina in St Augustine, another ‘rustic’ stop.

Day 268 – June 21st 2022

Today we travel from St. Augustine to Fernandina Beach. We like Fernandina Beach so we have planned two nights here. It was a pleasant trip. We got safely tied up at the dock. We warmed up leftovers for dinner. It was a quiet evening. Off to bed.

Day 269 – June 22nd 2022

This morning I got to sleep in while Richard did some boat chores!!! Yeah for me!!! I got dressed and we decided to go walk around the little town. It is filled with all kinds of quaint, cute shops!!! We enjoyed walking in and out of all the shops. We stopped for ice cream that was delicious!!!! We made our way back to the boat after a few hours. A very relaxing way to spend the afternoon!!! For dinner Richard made a delicious Christmas chicken casserole!!! It was yummy!!! We watched the movie Midway and it was so good !!! After that it was off to bed.

Day 270 – June 23rd 2022

We left our dock slip at 9:30 this morning. We went over to the pump out station and emptied the holding tank. After that we were on our way to Jekyll island. We made it safely to Jekyll Island around 2:00. We are all tied up and the marina is nice. They have golf carts, a pool, and a restaurant. We took a golf cart into town to get some water bottles. It was a nice ride!!! We went up to the swimming pool for a while. It was so cold and refreshing. We went to the restaurant for dinner and it was a hopping place!!!! We had a good meal and saw someone we knew!!! We saw Sheila, Mike Enfingers wife!!! It’s a small world!!! Back to the boat and off to bed!!!

Day 271 – June 24th 2022

Today we are not traveling so I get to sleep!!! For some reason I didn’t sleep last night so I really needed the extra hours!!! Richard got up this morning and went to play golf. We went up to the pool for a while after he got back. It is so nice and relaxing up there!!! For dinner Richard grilled steaks and we had veggies. We watched the Astros on tv and they beat the Yankees!!! Wahoo!!!! Off to bed after the game.
