This morning we all slept in!!! Richard is still not feeling well!!! We didn’t do much today — just hung around the boat and let Richard rest!!! For dinner we went up to the little restaurant and we each had a cup of conch chowder. We came back to the boat and went straight to bed. Hope Richard feels better tomorrow !!
Day 223 – March 31st 2022
This morning we slept in again!!! Richard is still under the weather. He replaced the starter on the generator. For happy hour we munched on some stone crabs claws we bought from a local fisherman. We went back to the little restaurant for dinner and Richard had chicken and rice and vegetables and I had another bowl of conch chowder!! It was still good!!! We came back to the boat and went to bed. Hope Richard is better tomorrow!!!
Day 224 – April 1st 2022
This morning we slept again. Richard needs his rest!!! Today He did a few small boat chores. We walked over to the beach and sat in some chairs for a little while. We had a couple of drinks from the beach bar. We took Charlie and I think he likes the beach!!! He had fun playing in the sand!! For dinner tonight Richard cooked hamburgers steaks and made rice. A bland meal to help him get his appetite back!! After dinner we went to bed.
Day 225 – April 2nd 2022
This morning we are up early at 6:30am. We got the boat ready to leave and we left the dock at 8:00am. We are motoring along in beautiful water with no other boats in sight!!!! Almost all the boats in the marina left this morning. Several pulled out at the same time as we did. Richard put a fishing line out and after about an hour for a hit and the line started screaming!!!! We have a fish!!! It is a Cero mackerel. Good to eat. We’ll have him for dinner tonight!!!
