Marathon to Key Largo

This morning we are up early ready to leave at 7:00am!!! We got off the dock with no problems. We are cruising along with no problems. It is very windy and the water is a little choppy. 2 ft. Seas. There is not too much boat traffic on the water. We made it to Key Largo at 3:00pm. We went to the small restaurant next door around 4:30 and had an early dinner. We are back at the boat and ready for an early bedtime!!!

Day 220 – March 28th 2022

Key Largo to Dania Beach

We got up early this morning – before 6:30 because we had to take our COVID tests. We administered the tests ourselves with a proctor on video call watching. We both got negative results but that took over an hour. Richard then had some paperwork he had to do so it was 9:00 before we left the dock. It is smooth sailing as we cruise along. It is a long long day!!! We finally get to our marina in Dania Beach FL around 6:00pm. We got the boat tied up with no help because it was so late!!! We showered and washed clothes and Richard cooked a steak for dinner. We finally ate at 8:30pm!!! I hopped up and headed for my bed!!! Tomorrow will be here early!!!!

Day 221 – March 29th 2022

Dania Beach to West End Grand Bahama

This morning we are up at 6:00 and ready to head to West End Grand Bahama!! Let’s go!!! We left the dock at 6:30 in the dark. We got out into the ocean and watched the most beautiful sunrise!!! It’s a good day on the water!!! The water is pretty calm!!! The seas picked up a little bit and we were in 2-3 ft. Seas but that didn’t last long and it smoothed out nicely for a very pleasant ride. We made it to West End!!!! Woo Hoo we are here!!!!! There is not a cloud in the sky!!! It is absolutely beautiful!!! It is 3:30pm. We got all tied up at the dock with some help from a very nice fellow. Richard went up to clear us thru customs. That took about an hour or so. He is not feeling well so he came back to the boat for a shower and went to bed. Charlie and I shared a turkey sandwich which I guess is my dinner!!!
