Happy St. Patrick’s day!!!! Wear green today!!! All though I don’t have much green!!! We went to the pool this afternoon and stayed a while. For dinner we went out to eat with Pam and Doug. We went to a little hole in the wall called Franks Grill and it was absolutely delicious!!!! These little locals places have the best food!!! I had a fish dish that was wonderful!!! I loved it!! It was another great night with fabulous friends!!!!
Day 210 – March 18th 2022
We went to the pool again today. I know it gets monotonous but we really do go to the pool everyday!!!! It is so pretty how can we not go everyday??? For dinner we went up to the Luebe’s condo and Brad cooked jerk chicken that was absolutely delicious!!!! We all ate a ton of food and it was fun being around all the kiddos!!! They are always very entertaining!!! With there being 6 Lube grands there is always something going on!!! We had another great night with all the Luebe family and we thank them for including us in their plans!!!!
Day 211 – March 19th 2022
All the Luebe family went home today. We were sad to see them leave!!! We had a lot of fun with them!!! We had another awesome pool day !!! Same song, second verse!!!! Just another day in paradise!!!! For dinner tonight Richard grilled shishkabobs and they were so yummy!!! He cooked enough for an army!!! We had leftovers!! Another awesome day on the boat!!!
Day 212 – March 20th 2022
Today is Matt’s birthday!!! Today is number 71 for him!!!! We celebrated with an awesome dinner at Florida Steak and Lobster, just another awesome restaurant here!!! We all had another fabulous meal!!! Happy birthday Matt!!
Day 213 – March 21st 202
Today we all had another awesome pool day!!! These days never get old!!!
Tonight we had a group get together at the swimming pool with several boating friends we have made here. Our friends Doug and Pam were the unofficial organizers of this event. We had about 10 couples that got together. We each brought an item to share and some meat to cook on the grill. We had a great time with everyone that night!!! We have met so many nice people since we have been on this trip!!! Another amazing day in the books!!!
Day 214 – March 22nd 2022
We had another small pool day. We got dressed and went to Keys Fishery at 4:00 for an early happy hour and dinner. We got there at 4:00 and the place was packed!!! No where to sit!!!! We finally found 4 seats at a small bar in the very back of the room!!! We need to come early next time!!! Richard and I sat down and Matt and Joanna joined us. We found a table in the center of the room and moved over there. We ordered 2 orders of crab claws that were delicious!!! We then ordered a dozen oysters and 2 more orders of crab claws!!! After that we were full and we walked back to the boat—about 2 blocks away. We were full and shortly ready for bed. Another day in paradise!!! I am loving this!!!
Day 215 – March 23rd 2022
Well, what do you know—we are having another pool day!!! It never gets old or boring!!! The pool is absolutely GloriaUs!!! We had a fun day in the sun and hanging around poolside. Not much happened today. Richard went to the grocery store for a few items. A good day!!
Day 216 – March 24th 2022
Today is my birthday!!! Woohoo I am 61 years old!!! We went to Islamorada with Matt and Joanna and ate lunch at Islamorada Fish Co. We all had a few appetizers because we have reservations at 5:00 for dinner. The guys went to a cigar store and purchased some more supplies. We headed back to the boat for a quick trip and then we were off to dinner at Franks Grill. We all had delicious food. I had fresh fish that was delicious!!! For dessert we all shared a piece of tiramisu. We came back to the boat and headed off to bed!!! I had a wonderful birthday!!!
Day 217 – March 25th 2022
Since we have a rental car today is provisioning day!!! Richard went to the grocery store, liquor store, Walgreens. All for supplies we will need in the Bahamas. Doug and Carol Latimer arrived on Matt and Joanna’s boat. They will be making the trip back home with them. For dinner we all had pizza on the back of Makai!!! Another awesome day!!!
Day 218 – March 26th 2022
We said goodbye to Matt and Joanna this morning. They left around 7:00am headed back to Destin. Richard went and did a few more errands since he still had the rental car. He turned the car back in and was back on the boat. He loaded the dingy up and washed it good and did a few other boat chores. For dinner we sat on the flybridge and ate stone crab claws and watched our last sunset in Marathon!!! It has been a wonderful month here and we don’t want to leave!!!!
