Day 153 – January 20th 2022

This morning we got up and left the dock from Key Largo at 9:00 am. We don’t have very far to go but Richard saw a forecast for rain around 1:00pm so we want to be tied up by then. We are headed to Plantation Yacht Harbor in Islamorada. This is a new stop for us and we’re excited to spend a few days there.

We are weaving our way thru lots of mangrove forests and it’s very pretty!!! The water is a bit shallow in this section of the ICW. We have to slow down and pick our way occasionally. We beat the rain (which never materialized) and got all tied up at the dock at noon. We made great time!!! We are at the end of a very long dock.

Richard and Charlie went for a long walk to explore Founder’s Park where the marina is located. It has a dog park so Charlie was able to get off the leash and roam untethered for awhile. We had a lazy afternoon with sunset cocktails and an early dinner of lasagna. It was another awesome day!!!
