Winter Break Ends

Update from the Captain:

At our last update in October we had left GloriaUs at Sands Harbor Marina in Pompano Beach to head back home for a few months. Our home was in great shape when we arrived. We enjoyed our time there and especially sleeping in a king size bed!!! We made a few road trips while we were there.

We went to visit Sara, Chris and the grandkids. As well, we made our first visit to San Diego to be with Colby and Audrey. We had a great time Visiting both.

We had a great long weekend at Matt and Joanna’s home. I played several rounds of golf with Matt at his clubs. For the third year in a row, I played in a golf tournament in Biloxi hosted by Brian Ammons. I played a lot of golf with my awesome, cool father-in-law…Wallace Weeks.

My brother, David, and I hosted the 3rd Annual Pig In The Beach on New Years Day. Sara, Chris, grandkids, and Colby were all there. We had so much fun that week.

We returned to GloriaUs last weekend and have spent the past few days completing various projects and getting set to head south. We plan to depart on Monday, January 17th. Oddly that is the same date that we left from Destin in 2021.

Our plans are to head south to the Keys for a Feb. 1st arrival in Key West. We plan to be there a month and head up to Marathon on March 1st for a month there as well. Plans are to go back to the Bahamas in April and start North again for The Great Loop 2022 Restart. Fingers crossed that we’ll make it this year. Look for updates from Dawn starting next week.
