We got up and left the dock at 7:30 am. We had a bit of a mishap at the dock. We are not used to the swift currents and we banged the swim platform to the boat in front of us. Luckily no damage to them but GloriaUs has a nice gouge in her side. A little fiberglass/gel coat work and she’ll be ship shape again.
No going offshore today we are staying in the ICW. We headed up the waterway and everything is good – good weather, good current, good wind — we are all good!!! Richard made sandwiches for lunch.
We arrived after a 67 mile ride at 3:00 pm to Sunbury Crab Co. This is a quaint little spot. We are the only large boat at the dock!!!! We went up for dinner at 6:00. The restaurant is so cute. It’s all open air with all the windows open to the outside and we sit at a tall table. We ordered our dinner and when it arrived it was beautiful!!! I had a lovely piece of flounder that had been fried beautifully!!!! It was delicious!!! I ate until I could eat no more!!! They had the best Georgia Sweet Tea, I drank so much I ODed on the sugar!!
Richard had a steamer bucket filled with lots of goodies!! He did a good job cleaning that up!!!! For dessert we both had a homemade ice cream sandwich that was delicious – mine was pecan pie flavored. After dinner we went and bought t-shirts to commemorate the occasion!!! We walked back to the boat and before long I was in bed. Surprise surprise I know right????
