Today we moved the boat a little further up the coast.
We are now at Fernandina Beach on Amelia Island. We can see Georgia from here! We were expecting a long day but we got here faster than expected since we had a favorable current most of the way. We did have a bit of drama when Richard ran aground. That hasn’t happened in a long time. He was able to maneuver off with nothing damaged but his pride.
The afternoon turned out to be rainy so we stayed on the boat and had margaritas and nachos that Joanna made. They were yummy.
For the rain paws Richard and Matt went out to explore the city. They were going bar hopping but it didn’t last very long. I think they made it to two bars and came back home!!! Somebody (who isn’t the Captain) was over served…once again! It was a good night!!!
