Rob Roy called us on the radio at 6:00 am and wanted to leave the anchorage and go to Bimini!!!! What an abrupt change of plans!!!!
We both got out of bed and got dressed. Richard busily got the boat ready to go. By the time we were ready to go Rob Roy was gone — nowhere to be seen!!!! We finally caught up with them and we continued on. We could not call Bimini for a slip reservation because we had no cell service!!!
When we were almost at Bimini we finally had cell service and Richard started calling. Every where he called was full because it was Memorial Day weekend!!! We finally found 2 slips at Bimini Bay Marina for $6 a foot — double the normal rate but we took them!! We got there and got tied up and were happy this travel day was over!!!! For dinner we went to a restaurant at the Hilton hotel that was beside our marina. We all had a good dinner!!!! We were very ready for bedtime as it had been a very long day!!!!
