Ft Myers to Marco Island – We left this morning in our usual sunny and clear weather. After about an hour we became surrounded by thick fog!!!
With only a few hundred feet visibility, we couldn’t see the shoreline that was just there. We were surrounded by the fog!!!! Richard slowed the boat down to idle speed and started blowing our horn every few minutes!! We knew other boats were around us because we could hear them and see them on the radar but we never spotted them in the fog!!! The fog stayed with us until right before we got to Marco Island. And just as mysteriously as it had appeared, it vanished and we could see Marco Island in front of us!!!
We got into Marco Island and found our marina and got tied up. For dinner we went to one of our favorite places called Davide!!! It’s a great little Italian restaurant that we discovered a few years ago and we love it!!! The food is always amazing and they make you feel like family!! I had Mahi-mahi and pasta and it was delicious!!!! We had tiramisu and cannolis for dessert. We took Uber back to the marina. A good night was had by all!!!!
