Day 4 – January 21st 2021

We left at 10:00 am this morning. Richard and Matt walked to a local restaurant for breakfast and brought me a bag home. We are taking the long route to Carabelle along the intercoastal waterway because the entrance at Apalachicola was too shallow. This takes a few hours longer but we are safe. We are now out in the Gulf at 2:00. The waters are pretty calm about 1 foot seas. The GPS says we will arrive around 8 am. We had an easy dinner of sandwiches. The sun set promptly at 6:00pm. and I was not far behind it in putting myself to bed!!! I got all snuggly in my bed with my good book while Richard and Matt continued driving the boat. They drove all night stopping only when they needed to use the restroom. They woke me up in the morning as we were pulling into Clearwater. We made it!!!! The dreaded crossing was complete!!! We pulled into the marina and pumped out the holding tank and found our slip. All is well!!!!
