Boat Trip – Day 1 – We are leaving our home port of Sandestin Florida at 7:47am. We are beginning our long awaited journey to cruise the Great Loop!!!! We have dreamed about doing this trip for many many years and the day has finally arrived where we take off!!!! Many hours of planning and preparation went into making this possible.
Today we have a short ride to Panama City where we will pick up our first mate Matt Luebe. We enjoyed a leisurely breakfast of coffee and a blueberry bagel and strawberry cream cheese! It’s a really beautiful day to be on the water!!! So many dolphins riding in our wake!! I believe they are good luck!!! We have had a dolphin escort the entire way to Panama City!!!! They are so fun to watch!!!! We are all tied up at the dock and everything is awesome!!! Now for a relaxing lunch of turkey sandwich and chips with chocolate chip cookie for dessert. The afternoon was spent napping(me and Charlie) and fiddling around the boat(Richard). A dinner of food from the freezer and we are all set for the night!!! Don’t you just love boating????
